Announcing the Colorado State University Indoor Practice Facility

Lefever Building Systems was part of the construction team that is bringing a state of the art indoor practice facility to the campus of Colorado State University. With construction happening over the past year, the facility is opening Fall 2009 in Fort Collins, CO.

The 66,267-square-foot indoor practice facility, to be located north of the Student Recreation Center, will create much needed practice space and serve as a recruiting tool to help attract the best and brightest student-athletes to CSU.

Details of the Indoor Practice Facility include a 70-yard synthetic turf field, a four lane training track, a regulation-size basketball/volleyball courts, hitting areas for softball and golf, a training room, equipment storage, lobby and restrooms.

The CSU Indoor Practice Facility was designed by RATIO Architects, Inc in conjunction with Aller Lingle Architects, PC. The general contractor is Saunders Construction, Inc from Centennial CO. Lefever Building Systems proudly handled the facility steel building framing and erection.

Lefever Building Systems now has LEED™ Certification

There is some exciting news from Lefever Building Systems. We are joining the growing "green economy" and are now offering LEED™ certification planning and sustainable design expertise to our many customers, partners and prospects.

The environmental impact of a building is a growing concern and bottom line economic consideration for building owners and developers - the number of LEED projects doubled in 2008.

David Boss, a long time LBS employee, has successfully completed the Lead AP certification process and is now a LEED Accredited Professional (AP). With this valuable expertise in house, we can partner with you to provide your customers a whole building analysis for their new construction or retrofit projects. We strongly believe that customers will require LEED'S high performance buildings because LEED certified projects:

• Hold value and have higher re-sale prices, higher occupancy and rental value per s/f when compared to comparable properties in similar markets.
• Reduce ongoing maintenance and utility costs.
• Reduce the building's short term and long term impact on the environment against a national standard.
