Overview of Project: On this project we evaluated the prototype design we created for the Milliken Batch Plant for buildability and cost effectiveness and tweaked this design accordingly. We used a Gable Roof with a 4:12 slope and added a cupula with clear wall panels and louvers for passive solar light and ventilation. The flatter roof allowed the roof to be installed from the roof deck. The three silos are outside the building and do not penetrate the roof.
Key Building Features:
- Building Size is 6,919 square Feet.
- The Precast Concrete Entry was added to fit the architectural standards of the area.
- Supplied and erected Varco Pruden Pre engineered metal building with in house crews.
- The interior featured a batch plant allowing ready mix trucks to be loaded inside the building, maintenance shop, offices, and break room.
